Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-13
Fitbit Health Sync respects your privacy.
Data We Access
With your explicit authorization, the app may access selected health and fitness data such as:
- Body weight
- Body fat percentage
- Steps
- Sleep
- Resting heart rate
- Active energy
Fitbit Health Sync collects this health and fitness data to write it into Apple Health on your device.
How Data Is Used
- Data is read from the Fitbit Web API or the Google Health API (after you reconnect) and written to Apple Health.
- Access tokens are stored securely on your device (Keychain).
- Data is processed on-device. We do not operate a backend that stores your health data.
Data Storage
- The app is designed to process data on-device.
- We do not sell your personal data.
Third-Party Services
- Google Health API (required after September 2026) is used for data access based on your Google authorization. All Google Health API scopes used are read-only.
- Fitbit Web API may still be used until Google turns it down in September 2026. Existing Fitbit tokens cannot be transferred; you will be asked to reconnect with Google.
- Apple HealthKit is used to write data into Apple Health.
Your Choices
- You can disconnect at any time in the app.
- You can revoke access in your Google Account permissions (and, until sunset, Fitbit account settings).
- You can uninstall the app at any time.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children’s Privacy
The app is not intended for children under 13.
